Para Powerlifting at the 2026 Commonwealth Games will take place on 24 July 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland. One of the first medal events of the Games kicking off the competition program. 

The competition features four medal categories: Men’s Lightweight, Men’s Heavyweight, Women’s Lightweight, and Women’s Heavyweight. 

The Australian Para Powerlifting team representing at the 2026 Commonwealth Games is the largest team ever to qualify - made up of athletes Ben Wright (fourth Commonwealth Games experience and 2022 Birmingham Bronze Medal) Hani Watson(2022 Birmingham Bronze Medal) , Natasha Price, Jade Pritchard, Cameron Whittington (Dehli 2010 Commonwealth Games Representative) and Daniel Bos

As a fully integrated para sport within the Commonwealth Games program, the event showcases elite strength and high-performance competition, with athletes often lifting multiple times their body weight.

Men’s Para Powerlifting made its Commonwealth Games debut at Manchester 2002, joined by the women’s competition at Delhi 2010. 

The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games will run from 23 July to 2 August.
