Allied health professionals, coaches, and volunteers are invited to attend a free online information session designed to build understanding of Para Powerlifting and explore how it can be integrated into rehabilitation, return-to-performance, and athlete development pathways.
Para Powerlifting provides athletes with physical impairments the opportunity to compete at state, national, and international levels, including the Paralympic Games. This session will offer practical insight into how allied health practitioners, coaches, and support personnel can identify suitable athletes and safely support their progression into the sport.
Participants will gain an overview of the Para Powerlifting pathway, including eligibility requirements, classification processes, and national competition opportunities. The session will help practitioners understand when and how Para Powerlifting can be appropriately introduced as part of an athlete’s long-term development.
